Country teams at 2011 Prague..

In a International Championship of this size, all the WPC countries sent teams of quality, many sportsmen, and extremeily strong. As always the largest team and the most successful was from RUSSIA...Two International female sportsmen....both named Sventlana...both Champions.

"IRISH" Jerry McNamara...LEGEND

...a man among men. At the 2011WPC European Championships in Prague there were many stand outs. Jerry McNamara was one of them. Jerry has competed on the International platform in both the IPF and the WPC. He is a multi world record holder and champion in both.
At 48 years old, Jerry competes in the open and masters divisions. In Prague he set several World Records in the Masters and improved his squat world record in the Open class. For any individual to hold both a Masters and Open class World Record is extremely rare. At the body weight of  67.5 kilos and a squat 330 kilos or 726 pounds, our WPC super heavy weight would have to squat 1728 pounds just to tie!
I like everything about him. He is intense, extreme, and fun. If you are a sportsman, ask him for help. If you are from another organization pay him big money to show up. Here is a little side note on how good Jerry is, in Prague on the squat, all of his judges were RUSSIAN and Jerry got the Whites.

This is the greatest RAW bencher in the history of the heavier bodyweights of the WPC. I Have witnessed him go over 660 pounds at 275 pound body weight....and he is alot of fun...

In one flight there were only two lifts that passed...in the whole flight. Look at the last row...red is not a good lift. All these were in the "equipped" section, no problems in the "RAW" section...
